Great place for the kiddos! Ours were free (under the age limit) and our tickets weren't expensive. Half the hospital was empty which is great for the sea turtles but the kiddos were upset they didn't see more turtles. The gift shop had a line because of the virus occupancy limits but once inside it was nice to freely move around. The staff were all friendly and informative.
Non profit organization and a great little spot to stop while in SPI. Was very pleased with their attention to COVID precautions. Everyone was wearing masks and hand sanitizer was available in lots of places. Good informational presentation that’s only about 15 minutes. Staff are extremely friendly and available for questions. Ginormous turtles were super cool to see- one was 220lbs! Also check out the cool evolution of prosthetics they made for one of their residents. We plan to try out their adoption program. Thanks for a great educational and fun experience.
This place is amazing! The work they do is awesome. We stopped here on our first day on the island and it really impacted us. The kids were concerned about ensuring the beaches were clear of liter to save the sea turtles! The education and back stories that provide really enhance the experience. A must visit!
