Stranded 7/1/2010

Willie is a post-hatchling Kemp’s ridley sea turtle. He stranded right after Hurricane Alex hit South Padre Island. He had small predator bites on his front left flipper and his shell. His wounds healed very nicely and he’s in rehabilitation. His favorite food is shrimp and he has a voracious appetite. He will be released in summer of 2013.

Ways to help Willie's Recovery

Adopt Willie

One of the three primary missions at Sea Turtle, Inc. is rehabilitation. We work hard to rescue and return every sea turtle back to the wild. Proceeds from this adoption will go directly to purchase needed medical supplies, veterinary exams, x-rays, food and general care for our rehab turtles.
