1st & 2nd time found stuck in the rocks at the Boca Chica jetties beach side.
Patient History
First date stranded 5/5/23 & Date released 5/25/23. Initial weight 4.4 lb non-FP juvenile green.
Second date stranded 7/27/23. Initial weight 4.7 lb non-FP juvenile green.
Patient Injuries
1st stranding: Moderate plastron abrasions, missing small pieces of flippers.
2nd stranding: Moderate abrasions on carapace and plastron, missing pieces of both rear flippers.
Patient Treatments
1st stranding: In-house PCV = 29%, TP = 2.6 g/dl, glucose = 141, started on Ceftazidime, Vit B Complex, & Normosol. Administered meloxicam.
2nd stranding: In-house PCV = 32%, TP = 4.0 g/dl, glucose = 122, started on Ceftazidime, Vit B Complex, Normosol.
