Hi! My name is Jennifer Peasnall. I graduated from the University of Delaware with a B.S. in Wildlife Ecology and Conservation and two minors in Marine Studies and Journalism. From a young age, I knew I wanted to work in the marine field. During my junior year of college, I had my first encounter with a nesting sea turtle on a study abroad trip to Central America. On this trip, I also had the opportunity to learn about (and snorkel!) marine protected areas in both Panama and Costa Rica. After graduating, I had the incredible opportunity to intern at the MERR Institute, a marine animal research, rehabilitation, and education center in Delaware. During this internship, I helped relocate and monitor a Loggerhead sea turtle nest. After the job was up, I knew I was completely hooked! I am so excited to be working with sea turtles again and look forward to exploring the Rio Grande ecosystem in my kayak!
