Reason for Stranding

Found stuck in rocks at Boca Chica jetties on the beach side

Patient History

Atlantic green 2.40 kg

Patient Injuries

Mouth/Beak: clear, one spot on right side of tongue, rest looks OK

External Carapace Notes: one moderate abrasion in the upper portion of the carapace towards the middle, 2 smaller moderate abrasions near the tip of the carapace, a little chip near the caudal end of the right side of the carapace

Plastron: Moderate abrasions, minor bruising

Head/Flippers/Soft Tissue: Cloaca is red and irritated, minor abrasions to the dorsal and ventral sides of all four flippers, a small abrasion near the left ventral side of the jaw

In House Bloods: PCV: 32%, TS: 4.6 , Glucose: 229 Meds administered: Standard protocol (Ceftaz, VitB & Normosol)
