Stranded on the beach 1.4 mike south of the Mansfield jetty

Patient History

2.35 kg juvenile Atlantic Green sea turtle

Patient Injuries

External Carapace Notes: Several lacerations to the carapace. Suspected shark interaction. Most very superficial a few areas of removed keratin.
Plastron: Tooth rake marks throughout the plastron
Head/Flippers/Soft Tissue:two small knicks in the trailing edge of the right rear flipper. Bite wound to the right axilla.

Patient Treatments

In House PCV: 34%, TS: 4.2 , Glucose: 123 Meds administered: Ceftaz (antibiotic) , VitB (appetite stimulant) & Normosol
