Meet Doc

Atlantic Green Sea Turtle • Boat Strike Victim

Doc arrived after suffering a cold stun on January 21st of this year, but when our team examined him, we found out he showed previous signs of a boat strike. The strike caused major damage to his shell and buoyancy issues that made it hard for Doc to swim and eat.

Doc refused to eat by himself, so our team worked tirelessly with him, feeding him through a tube to ensure he received the nutrients he needed to survive. Almost an entire year has passed, and Doc is recovering! He’s now capable of eating and swimming without assistance, and has recently been placed in a tank with another sea turtle. However, Doc’s healing process isn’t done yet.
