Adaptation Exploration

Join us at a sea turtle rescue center in south texas to learn about land, freshwater, and sea turtle anatomy and adaptations. Explore the differences and similarities between these species and how they have adapted to their habitats.

Program Objectives

Students will:

  • Identify traits of reptiles
  • Gain an understanding of turtle anatomy
  • Compare land turtles, freshwater turtles, and sea turtles
  • Explore unique sea turtle characteristics and adaptations
  • Discuss ways to reduce human impacts on the environment
