Patient History
-66.8 lb adult female Kemp’s ridley
-observed floating near Pier 19 (called in by a restaurant customer; rescued by STI board member Bill Hoenes who happened to be driving by on his boat and saw the turtle; animal care was able to help pull turtle onto a boat)
Patient Injuries
-Physical Exam: Left eye completely covered with scabs; applied antibiotic ointment. The right eye looks great. No other external injuries were visible.

One of the three primary missions at Sea Turtle, Inc. is rehabilitation. We work hard to rescue and return every sea turtle back to the wild. Proceeds from this adoption will go directly to purchase needed medical supplies, veterinary exams, x-rays, food and general care for our rehab turtles.
