-entangled at the Isla Blanca jetties

Patient Injuries

entangled in braided line around neck and both front flippers but there are no visible ligature marks/inflammation from the entanglement, moderate plastron abrasions, minimal carapace abrasions, scar under right front flipper (looks like a possible old hook site)

Patient Treatments

in-house blood work looks great -started on Ceftazidime, Vit B Complex, & Normosol -also admin a dose of Meloxicam (for pain/inflammation) due to entanglement -took 3-view x-rays
