Reason for Stranding

Hooked by a fisherman in the front right flipper shoulder area on the ventral side.

Patient History

1.30 kg juvenile Atlantic Green sea turtle

Patient Injuries

Plastron: Minor abrasions
External Wounds: hook wound in front right shoulder area ventral side
Head/Flippers/Soft Tissue: One small notch out of the right front flipper, small abrasion on the rear left flipper, small cut around nail of right rear flipper

Patient Treatments

In House PCV: 32%, TS: 3.2 , Glucose: 133 Meds administered: Ceftaz (antibiotic) , VitB (appetite stimulant), ketoprofen (pain medication) & Normosol
