Reason for Stranding

Found in the tide line at Barracuda Cove

Patient History

13.8 lb FP juvenile green

Patient Injuries

Severe left and right front flipper entanglement, severe neck entanglement including an opening on the ventral side of the neck, caudal left side of carapace is concave and misshapen. Fishing line was monofilament. FP score 1/3, few small body tumors, right eye appears to have two small eye tumors developing. Took 3-view radiographs appears to have moderate-severe pneumonia.
This animal is in critical condition.

Patient Treatments

In-house PCV = 30%, TP = 2.5 g/dl, glucose = 247, started on Ceftazidime, Vit B Complex, Normosol, Meloxicam, & Vitamin C.
