Reason for Stranding

Stuck in a tide pool at the Isla Blanca jetties, channel side

Patient History

First Stranding:
12/06/2025-12/08/2025
4.6 lb non-FP juvenile green
Found stuck in the rocks at the Boca Chica jetties, channel side
Minor plastron abrasions, old healing wound to soft tissue at base of left front flipper on ventral side (possible old entanglement wound). Missing chunks of both rear flippers.

Second Stranding:
5.9 lb non-FP juvenile green

Patient Injuries

Missing tips of both rear flippers, minor abrasions on plastron (mostly healed), missing distal third of RFF

Patient Treatments

In-house PCV = 29%, TP = 3.8 g/dl, glucose = 122 Started on Ceftazidime, Vit B Complex, and Normosol
