Reason for Stranding

Turtle was called in as an entanglement from Isla Blanca Jetties on channel side but was brought in with a cast net and it was actually hooked in the right front flipper

Patient Injuries

Plastron: minor abrasions, External Wounds: hook wound on shoulder of right front flipper. Tip of left right flipper gone.

Patient Treatments

In House Bloods:PCV: 28 %, TS: 3.2 , Glucose: 102, Meds administered: Standard protocol (Ceftaz, VitB & Normosol) plus ketoprofen for pain and lidocaine for hook removal.
