Hello everyone! My name is Emma Pontius and I am originally from Portland,
Maine. I had the wonderful opportunity to be an intern last summer with Sea
Turtle, Inc. and I couldn’t be happier to return as the 2020 Field Technician! I
received my Bachelor’s degree in Marine Science from the University of Maine
where I was a member of the women’s varsity swim team and had the honor of
being captain my senior year. Since graduation I have spent two seasons interning with The Hawaii Island Hawksbill Turtle Recovery Project based in Hawaii Volcanoes National Park in addition to my season with Sea Turtle, Inc.
