My name is Rachel LeCates and I was born in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. I moved to York, Pennsylvania when I was eight years old. My love for science and the environment started at an early age. I graduated with a B.S. in Marine Biology from the University of North Carolina Wilmington. I spent one of those semesters in the Galapagos Islands. This experience cemented my passion for conservation and transformed my perspective on the relationship between humans and their environment. I hope to continue to explore new places and inspire others to protect our oceans.
